How is Asparagus Cooked in Pasta Express?

The Pasta Express is a small kitchen device used to quickly cook pasta and other foods, such as vegetables and shrimp, without creating a mess in the kitchen or boiling a large pot of water. The device consists of a clear plastic cooking tube with a strainer lid and cap. This device can be used to cook your asparagus in only a few minutes without the need to work over a hot stove.

Step 1

Fill a tea kettle with about 8 cups of water if you are using a large Pasta Express or with about 5 1/2 cups of water if you are using a small one. Bring the water to a boil.

Step 2

Place the asparagus in the Pasta Express. Carefully pour the boiling water from the tea kettle into the Pasta Express until the clear cooking tube is full and the asparagus is fully submerged. You may not need all the water you boiled.

Step 3

Affix the strainer lid and cap to the Pasta Express. Allow the asparagus to cook for five to eight minutes.

Step 4

Remove the cap from the Pasta Express when the asparagus is done. Grasp the Pasta Express with an oven mitt and carefully pour the water out of the strainer top to complete the cooking process.
