The massive 151,400-ton ocean liner was launched in 2004 as a tribute to the original Queen Mary, which made its first voyage in 1936 and has been transformed into the Long Beach Hotel in California. Weddings on the Queen Mary 2 are of the symbolic variety, and the only service provided by the cruise line is a renewal of vows. Cunard does not allow official wedding ceremonies to take place on board its ships.

The package includes "an attractive ceremony venue onboard," a bouquet and buttonhole, a bottle of champagne, a ceremony led by the ship's captain, a single-tiered cake, a professional photographer, your choice of one photo, a silver-plate picture frame, a signed ceremonial certificate from the captain, and a Cunard ceremonial gift. The cost of the package is $400 per couple with a slightly higher rate on select voyages as of April 2011. A minimum of two weeks' notice is required.
