Mid-Size Cruise Lines
- Azamara and Silversea are two mid-size cruise lines with Guadeloupe on their southern caribbean itineraries. A cruise to Guadeloupe costs more on these lines ($3,700 for a 10-day excursion aboard a Silversea vessel and $2,099 for Azamara, as of 2011) but you'll receive more pampering aboard and be able to access ports of call that bigger cruise lines can't due to the larger size of their vessels.Silversea and Azamara vessels accomodate about 500 passengers. Silversea boasts all-suite ships and both Silversea and Azamara offer all-inclusive pricing (house-pours of wine with lunch and dinner, specialty coffees, bottled water and sodas, basic gratuities, self-service laundry, and coach shuttles in some ports.) Azamara is a bit cheaper than Silversea but still offers a more luxurious experience than a large cruise line.Azamara Club Cruises1050 Caribbean WayMiami, FL 33132877-222-2526azamaraclubcruises.comSilversea Cruises110 E. Intimate Cruise Lines
- Star Clippers is a fleet of three upscale, luxury sailing ships offering a very different experience from conventional cruise ships. Their seven-night cruise to Guadeloupe is a casual experience that includes informal classes in knot-tying and celestial navigation. Their ships have actual masts that rise 226 feet above the waterline. They specialize in ports that are off the beaten path and their vessels accomodate about 170 guests. Prices for a cruise to Guadeloupe aboard a Star Clipper ship must be obtained by calling/emailing Star Clippers or a cruise agent for a quote, however, you should expect a luxury cruise to cost more than other, larger cruise experiences.Star Clippers7200 NW 19th Street Suite 206Miami,, FL 33126877-442-0551sstarclippers.com
