Cruises to Galapagos Islands


  • Haugen Cruises takes travelers to the Galapagos Islands, where they can view pristine wilderness and varied wildlife, including seals, the Giant Galapagos tortoises and marine iguanas. The cruise line offers three main cruises that run from four to eight days. Some of the cruises will travel only amongst the smaller islands, while the longer cruises will take visitors onto most of the islands.

Four-Day Cruise

  • This cruise runs from Saturday through Tuesday, and visitors must fly into Baltra Airport on Baltra Island. From there they will transfer to the cruise ship. Visitors will leave in the morning and travel to Bartholomew Island, where they can go snorkeling and visit Pinnacle Rock. The next day they will go onto Fernandina Island and Isabela Island. Travelers will visit Santiago Island and Rabida Island on the third day. Visitors will end their expedition at San Cristobal Island--Isla Lobos, and then they will fly back to the mainland. Other activities include viewing marine life, volcanic rock, lava, marine iguanas, lava cactus, salt water lagoons and tide pools. Visitors will be traveling aboard the Athala.

Five- Day Cruise

  • This cruise travels amongst the lower Western islands and runs from Tuesday through Saturday. Travelers will leave from San Cristobal Island, and head to La Galapaguera, where they can see the Giant Galapagos Tortoise in its natural habitat. The next day visitors will go to Espanola, and will spend the whole day on the island. Visitors will do the same the next day on Floreana Island. On the fourth day, travelers will head to the Charles Darwin Research Station on Santa Cruz Island and end the day at Islas Plaza, where they can see sea lions and iguanas. On the final day, travelers will go to North Seymour Island, where they can see blue-foot boobies and frigate birds. Visitors will fly back to the mainland from this island. Eight-Day Cruise

  • Visitors will travel upon either the Nina or the Athala for this cruise, which runs from Saturday to Saturday. Visitors will travel to seven of the Galapagos Islands. They will depart from Baltra and fly out of San Cristobal Airport. On the first day, visitors can go snorkeling or hiking in Rabida. On the second day, visitors will travel to Isabela Island and Fernandina Island. For the following three days, visitors will spend all their time on Isabela Island, where they can view sea turtles, puffer fish, boobies and penguins. On the sixth day, visitors will travel to North Seymour and Santa Cruz, where the Charles Darwin Station is located. Travelers will spend the entire seventh day on Espanola, and then they will spend the final day in San Cristobal.
