4 Best Wind Surf Cruise Ships

    • The Windstar Cruise Line offers cruises around the Mediterranean, Baltic, Caribbean and Holy Land. Three luxury cruise ships make up the Windstar fleet, including the Wind Spirit, Wind Star and Wind Surf. Windstar cruises onboard the ship Wind Surf include various itinerary lengths and stops at ports in Europe, the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.

    Seven-Day Barbados

    • The seven-day Barbados to Barbados itinerary sails on the Windstar Wind Surf several times a year. Making stops in St. Kitts, St. Martin, St. Barts and St. Lucia, the cruise also spends one day at sea and begins and ends in Bridgetown, Barbados.
While in the various ports, passengers can take part in shore excursions like snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, hiking, sailing and city sightseeing tours. The Wind Surf carries 308 passengers in 31 ocean-view suites and 123 ocean-view deluxe staterooms.

    Seven-Day Barcelona-Rome

    • Offering a tour of the western Mediterranean and Europe, the seven-day Barcelona to Rome cruise aboard the Wind Surf sails throughout the year. As Cruise Critic states, the itinerary makes stops in Mahon, St. Tropez, Monte Carlo, Portofino and Florence.
Even though the Wind Surf yacht is much smaller than other cruise lines, passengers still enjoy the big ship amenities of a luxury spa, casino, two restaurants, swimming pools and several bars. Shore excursions range from wine tastings in Italy, to helicopter tours in Monaco, to museum tours in Spain.

    14-Day Barbados-Lisbon

    • Cruisers looking for a longer itinerary can take the 14-day Barbados to Lisbon cruise on the Wind Surf. The trans-Atlantic cruise does not make any stops between Barbados and Lisbon, but passengers can enjoy many onboard activities and events.
The ship features a fitness center, lounges and bars, a library, casino and swimming. Because the cruise does not make any stops at ports, cruises on this itinerary generally cost less than shorter cruises.

    Seven-Day Athens-Istanbul

    • Twice a year, the Wind Surf cruise ship sails from Athens to Istanbul on a seven-day cruise of the Greek Isles. As Cruise Web states, the ship stops at the Greek ports of Mykonos, Santorini and Rhoades and then on to the Turkish ports of Bodrum and Kusadasi on the way from Athens to Istanbul.
The Athens to Istanbul cruise gives passengers a chance to enjoy complimentary water sports right off the ship when in port, including waterskiing, parasailing, kayaking and snorkeling. Shore excursions are also available, including sightseeing, cooking demonstrations, walking tours and hikes.
